A3 - Polychromos Pencils

So this is a piece i did due to the discrepancy of religion over time and culture.

Mainly angel and demon theology....

Angels in scripture obtain several wings and faces, they have been modified to artists' cultures over the years, appearing as Muscular 'perfect' beings being the most alien to biblical reference in my opinion.
 Besides the point, Michael i see as everyone else see him, how he is written to be, a warrior, a soldier. So i'm trying to depict how this Angel would have been today, but not only Michael, but all Angels, as in they where there to serves Gods will. An order they shouldn't question but carry out and trust that their cause is just. Much like the role of a soldier, So this is not what i think... you'd initially think of my drawing, which would be a piece portraying how soldiers are Angel like beings, heroic for risking they're lives. Not what i was aiming for, but sadly i'm under the impression most people will come to that conclusion without reading that the only similarity i wanted to stress, was the obedience to follow an order.
